Dearborn Working On New Soccer Field

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn children would have more opportunities to play and practice their soccer skills under a proposal to transform a vacant lot on Graham Street between Wyoming and Lonyo streets. The proposal is to create a soccer installation, and funding is available thanks to the efforts of the Healthy Dearborn coalition, the City of Dearborn, and a $63,000 grant from KaBOOM! and the Ralph C. 8 Michigan Colleges Ranked Among Best In Nation

A new report ranked the best public colleges in America.

The University of Michigan top the list of best public college in Michigan, but also in the nation, according to new national rankings published Monday by Business First. Business First released its 2019 rankings Monday after analyzing data for more than 500 public colleges across the country.

Dearborn starting early college for education majors

Next fall, Dearborn Public Schools will start its fourth combined high school and associate degree program, this one focused on educating future educators.

Henry Ford Early College – School of Education will allow students to get degrees in child development or pre-education for elementary, secondary or special education.  Students can also leave with a paraprofessional certificate, giving them the option to work as a classroom aide while they pursue their bachelor’s degree at a four-year university. Please continue reading….
