19th District Court Citywide Contest

magnacartaThe 19th District Court is partnering with the Dearborn Rotary Club to sponsor a citywide essay contest as the high point of Dearborn’s annual “American Bar Association’s National Law Day” observance.

The Dearborn Rotary Club will provide generous prizes for successful participants from the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.

  • First place in each of the four grades will be awarded $100.00 Barnes and Nobles gift card.
  • Runners-up will receive $75.00 gift cards.
  • Third place finishers will receive $50.00 gift cards.

The 2015 contest topic: The Magna Carta and its impact on present day law and society today.

Essays must be original work of the student.

The essays and completed entry forms must be submitted to the 19th District Court no later than 4:00 p.m. April 1st, 2015.

All award recipients and their families will be invited to an awards ceremony at thecourthouse on Thursday, April 30th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

First place winners will get to read their essay to the audience.
