Stout Middle School is using this Parent Survey as a means to elicit your beliefs and opinions to help target areas for the school system to improve and areas to continue to be effective. Latest After School Tutoring Schedule

Ms. Julie Wooton is taking over Mrs. Crechiolo tutoring after the Spring Break. Ms. Wooton will also be tutoring social studies on Tuesday/Wednesdays!

Also Ms. Zoratti is tutoring on Tuesday only this week. After the Spring break, she will go back to Wednesdays and Thursdays. So here is the latest schedule that will be running after the Spring Break:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

Bring stories to life

Help your child create puppets or different hats he or she can wear to represent each character in a story. (You can use socks or paper bag, for example.) Then have your child act out the story for the rest of your family.

Talk about what you read

It is important to talk with your child about what you read. For example:

  • Before you turn a page, ask your child to predict what will happen next.
  • After you finish a story, ask your child what his or her favourite part was. Share yours too.
  • After family reading time, have each family member share one thing he or she learned from what he or she read.
