Get Crafty
Look for books, magazines, and Web sites on how to make crafts or build simple models. Have your child pick up something that he or she wants to make. Help your child read and follow the instructions to complete the project.
Play Board Games
Many children's games involve letters, spelling, and reading. Look for inexpensive ones at thrift stores and tag sales.
