Tragic News for Dearborn Community

Stout Middle School staff and students would like to extend their deep and sincere condolences to the Ahmed family during this most difficult and tragic time. The news that  their daughter Larine, a Henry Ford Elementary student, had passed away on Saturday night shocked everyone.

Dearborn Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Glenn Maleyko, shared the District sympathy and announced that “Social Workers and other staff will be at Henry Ford Elementary on Monday and as needed during the week to offer support for students and staff as they try to process the loss of their student, classmate, and friend. I also plan to visit the school with other central office administrators.…. Please take a moment to offer a prayer and comforting thought for the entire Ahmed family and all those close to Larine.”

PBIS Reward Day: Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019

On Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 (afternoon) a google form will be sent to each student so that they can make their choice for the PBIS Reward Day scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.

There will be some of the usual choices (movie, chromebooks, etc), along with the opportunity to go to Lincoln Park Skating Center during the reward time.  There are 3 busses available, so the skating option will be capped at 150 students.

Then, on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019 1st hour students who are interested in the skating option will receive permission slips. They need to get their parents/guardians to sign the slips. Students should start returning the slips on Tuesday’s morning before school, in the auditorium.
