STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Relay for Life Spirit Week

Relay-for-LifeStout Middle School had its final big fundraiser in support of the Relay for Life campaign. The annual Relay for Life Spirit Week took place from Tuesday May 26th till Friday May 29th. Each day, staff and students paid $1 to dress up for the theme of the day. All of the money raised went towards the goal of $3000. The following events were planned and completed:

  • Tuesday, May 26th: Career Day (dress like what you want to be when you grow up);
  • Wednesday, May 27th: Twin Day (or triplets, quadruplets etc… – Dress alike);
  • Thursday, May 28th: Hat Day (wear a hat);
  • Friday, May 29th: Purple out Day (wear purple- it is for Abdalla and for Relay for Life).

In addition, four (4) males and four (4) females had volunteered to help fundraising. The female and male with the most money in their boxes had to cut and/or shave their hair at the Relay for Life Assembly on May 29th. So, Ms. Carol Cizek (the vice principal), Ms. Sarah Poloni (special Education), and Mr. Charles Hoole were the legitimate winners and they lived up to their pledge. Watch for the photos. Will be posted soon!

Another event is planned to take place before the end of the school year: Pie the Teacher!!! Can’t wait for that one! Will keep you posted!!!

In the meantime, you too can help this noble cause. If you would like to make any donations, please visit this link:
