The “Pink Out” event that took place on Thursday, Oct. 22nd was a big success. Friday will be Lowrey’s Pink Out, so we don’t know who won yet. We still have to tally money with expenses of things we sold, but it looks like we raised a lot of money. We will know the totals next week. Thank you for promoting the event, buying things, dressing in pink, and being patient with all the craziness. The girls’ basketball game was awesome! Stout defeated Lowrey by a score of 35 – 05! The pep band, directed by Mr. Walters and Mr. Beydoun, was amazing. The cheer team was great also, thanks to Ms. Korstjens. We honored the survivors in the building – Mrs. Nameth, Mrs. Blazeski, Mrs. Gleed, and Ms. Poloni, as well as Jesse Douponce, former Stout teacher, now teaching at Henry Ford Elementary. Each player read a cancer fact as well as to whom they were dedicating their game play. The crowd was also led in cheers by our very own Mr. Ed Bennett! Thanks also, to Mr. Haddad and Mr. Serazio for their participation. A big thank you to Mr. Oke and Ms. Cizek for their leadership, and to all the staff for all their support and work. It was very fun! And Finally a huge thank you goes to Ms. Reed – a survivor herself – who, as always, put her heart into this event.
