Dearborn Police, along with some local and national businesses , and in an effort to combat auto theft, have launched a campaign to raise awareness against auto theft encouraging residents to remove their valuables from their vehicles or keep it out of sight, and to lock their vehicles at all times. This comes after noticing that many victims have left their vehicles unlocked, and in some cases even running. Stout Middle School encourages all residents to cooperate in this battle against auto theft. DO NOT MAKE IT EASY FOR THIEVES. Auto theft affects everyone. Higher insurance rates, financial loss, inconvenience, and more work for the police department. Remember that we are One Team – One Mission – One Dearborn.
