Stout Middle School Band received straight ones (1), or all Superior marks, from the four (4) judges at the Michigan State Band and Orchestra Festival. The four judges also gave Stout Middle School Strings a two (2), one (1), two (2), and two (2) – one of the judges gave them a B+ (high 2). An A _ instead would have given them another superior rating! Sooooo close.
The One (1) rating caused screaming, shouting, crying, hugging, and spontaneous singing of school fight songs. The children applauded, sang, cheered, and shouted the ENTIRE bus ride home. They were so excited and extremely happy that their ratings were higher than rival schools. Bryant got 2s! Just saying…..
