Hello Stout Community,
In our continuing efforts to provide you with accurate information, I want to share this brief message regarding the soft lockdown that occurred at our school today.
At 9:53 a.m. this morning, Stout School was placed on a soft lockdown due to a police situation in the area of our school. This action was taken upon advice from Dearborn Police and the school returned to normal operation at 10:40 a.m. It is important to point out that at no time were any students or staff in immediate danger. The situation was being handled by the Dearborn Police and did not directly involve the school, but was occurring in the vicinity of the school.
When we alerted our staff and students about the soft lockdown the “Lockdown” message was activated on our school wide Emergency Notification System. The notification could be seen on the display screens in the school for approximately 15 minutes but the school was never officially in a Lockdown. I wanted to make sure that parents had this information in case students came home from school sharing that the school was on a lockdown.
A Soft lock down is when the building doors are secured, but students are allowed to move as usual throughout the building. This is usually done as a precaution due to issues outside the building such as a crime reported in the area. For more information about a soft lockdown vs a lockdown please visit:

Like all schools in Dearborn, Stout has an Emergency Management Plan in place to address a variety of potential emergency situations. We practice fire, weather, and lockdown drills throughout the year. Practicing these drills helps all of us prepare and learn what to do in any type of emergency situation. Each time we practice, or activate an emergency notification, we learn what went right and how we can make it even better in case there is a future need.
All of the staff at Stout is dedicated to the safety and well being of our students. We know that by keeping an open line of communication with our parents and always working together we will continue to keep our school a safe place for everyone.

في إطار جهودنا المستمرة لإبقائكم على اطلاع وتزويدكم بمعلومات دقيقة ، أود مشاركة هذه الرسالة الموجزة المتعلقة بالإغلاق البسيط الذي تم في مدرستنا صباح اليوم.
عند الساعة ٥٣ :٩ من صباح اليوم وبناءاً على تعليمات شرطة ديربورن ولأسباب تتعلق بعملهم، تم وضع إعدادية ستاوت في حالة الإغلاق البسيط وعادت المدرسة إلى العمل بشكل طبيعي عند الساعة ٤٠ :١٠ صباحًا. من المهم الإشارة إلى أنه لم يكن أي من الطلاب أو الموظفين في أي وقت من الأوقات في خطر مباشر. كانت شرطة ديربورن تتعامل مع وضع حدث في محيط المدرسة لا يمت للمدرسة بصلةٍ مباشرة.
عندما نبهنا موظفينا وطلابنا بشأن الإغلاق البسيط ، تم تنشيط رسالة “الإغلاق” على نظام إشعارات الطوارئ على مستوى المدرسة. حيث كان يمكن رؤية الإشعار على شاشات العرض في المدرسة لمدة ١٥ دقيقة تقريبًا ولكن المدرسة لم تدخل رسميًا في حالة إغلاق. أردت التأكد من أن يحصل أولياء الأمور على هذه المعلومات في حالة مشاركة الطلاب هذا الحدث مع أسرهم عند عودتهم إلى بيوتهم .

كجميع المدارس في ديربورن ، لدى إعدادية ستاوت خطة لإدارة الطوارئ وضعت لمعالجة مجموعة متنوعة من حالات الطوارئ المحتملة. نقوم بالتدرب على إجراءات السلامة في حالات الحريق والطقس والإغلاق على مدار العام. تساعدنا ممارسة هذه التدريبات جميعا على الاستعداد وتعلم ما يجب القيام به في أي نوع من حالات الطوارئ. في كل مرة نتدرب فيها على إشعار الطوارئ أو نقوم بتفعيله نتعرف أكثر على دقة عمله وكيف يمكننا تحسين الأداء في حال دعت الضرورة لاستخدامه.
يكرس جميع الموظفين في ستاوت جميع جهودهم لسلام ورفاهية طلابنا، وندرك أنه من خلال الحفاظ على خطوط اتصال مفتوحة مع الأهالي والتعاون الدائم معاً يمكننا الحفاظ على مدرستنا مكاناً أمناً للجميع.
