Interested in Nursing? Camp RN@HFC is calling for you!

nurse1The Oakland University School of Nursing is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Henry Ford College (HFC) in Dearborn, MI. The HFC Nursing department is hosting CAMP RN@HFC. Camp RN@HFC is a one week (July 13th – July 17th) pre-college summer program designed to educate upcoming 7th, 8th , and 9th graders of the opportunities available through a career in nursing. CAMP RN@HFC participants are engaged in anatomy and physiology and nutritional science, while learning nursing fundamentals including CPR and First Aid. Participants also tour the HFC M-Tec Center, interact with nurses in a hospital setting (shadowing), and utilize the physical assessment laboratory to learn about the human body.
With such expressed interest in this program, CAMP RN@HFC will accept 25 applicants to participate in the 2015 program. All interested applicants must submit a complete application packet no later than May 30, 2015. The cost of the program is $235 per student.
