Schools will have a long weekend as the nation recognizes Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Monday, Jan. 18. Mr. King was an American clergyman and one of the most recognized civil rights leaders who was fatally shot at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday, April 4, 1968, at the age of 39.
