AVID is a new program that Stout Middle School started offering this fall. It is dedicated to help students achieve their goal of going to college. Those enrolled in this program will take, during the regular school day, an AVID class that provides support, academic monitoring, and tutoring.
AVID:
- Teaches skills and behaviors for academic success
- Provides intensive support with tutorials and strong student/teacher relationships
- Creates a positive peer group for students
- Develops a sense of hope for personal achievement gained through hard work and determination
Although, Spring registration might seem far away, but we encourage all those who are interested to mark that event on their calendar. The exact dates will be published soon, so stay alert.
