The Stout afterschool STEM Club have been working on chemistry for the past week. Students have been learning about chemical reactions, the Periodic Table of Elements, atoms, etc. Today students constructed the atoms of an element using Valentine’s candy and they also calculated the protons, electrons, and neutrons of different elements.
If you want to have your Stout student join STEM Club, have them pick up an application in the main office. We want more students to join in the fun and learning!!!
STEM Club runs Monday through Friday from 3:30PM -5:30 PM. Students receive a free dinner each day and they may ride the activity bus home if needed. They also offer homework assistance before students work on the daily science and engineering projects!!
