Today was Dearborn Public School’s” Care to the Core” Day. Even though Stout students work on understanding how to be respectful and kind to others each and everyday, today was a day that students really focused on showing compassion and empathy toward others.
Students fundraised for the needy in Yemen and in the Ukraine while other students filled out “Compassion Cards” sending messages of support to those in need. It was also heartwarming to see our Stout 8th graders and high school students from Edsel Ford and Dearborn High work with the students in the special needs classes as they painted rocks with positive messages to place in our Stout Courtyard. Here is a picture of some of our 7th grade Stout students along with the high school students from Dearborn High and Edsel Ford after filling out Compassion Cards.
