STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Stout Students Learn to Use Stethoscopes and Calculate Heart Rate and Pulse

Students in Stout’s “Biomedical Club” learn how to properly use a stethoscope to listen to the sounds of their heart and lungs. The students also learned how different forms of physical activity can change a person’s heart rate. Students calculated their own heart’s beats per minute (bpm) after taking part in different forms of exercise.

It was a very fun and interesting club activity!
