Stout students and staff raised over $1,600 in just three days to donate to the family of 8th grader Paul Martin from Bryant Middle School. Paul is the donor to his father who is undergoing a bone marrow transplant on Monday. This was a story all over social media and on the news.
Everyone at Stout was encouraged to wear orange on Friday, March 11 to show support in the fight against Leukemia and in honor of Paul’s dad Paul who is fighting this battle. 8th grader Paul Martin and his mother came to Stout to thank the Stout students and staff today…this being a very emotional moment is an understatement.
A Stout teacher, Mrs. Ditmar, brilliantly suggested the idea and the students and staff eagerly answered the call raising most of the funds in what we call a “Miracle Minute” at lunchtime where donations are collected within a minute’s time.
I had to share this news since my heart is overflowing today!! I am so proud to be your principal!
