We will be taking teams for the dodgeball tournament for our first PBIS celebration. Please put together a team of 10-12 kids, who are eligible to participate in the celebration. Write their first and last name and the grade of the team. We will have 4 teams from each grade participating. If we have more than four teams submitted for a grade level, we will select the four participating teams randomly from a drawing. Please give your team sheet to Mr. Haddad in room F-8.
Attention all students:
The Stout Cheer team is selling Boo Grams. The team will be selling them every day at lunch starting Thursday, Oct. 17th till Thursday, Oct. 30th. The grams are 50 cents each and will be delivered on Halloween in students’ last hour. At lunch, students will fill out a paper that will be delivered along with an airhead (candy) which is made in a nut free facility so it will be safe for all students. Please help support the Stout Cheer Team!!

A nationwide study conducted by SmartAsset, has named Dearborn the third best place in the country for children to gather sweet treats on Halloween. Only Orem, Utah and Nampa, Idaho are better places for trick or treating than Dearborn according to the study.
The study, conducted for the sixth straight year, takes many things into consideration when formulating the rankings.
A higher single-family housing density means less walking to hit the next candy jackpot and Dearborn ranks in the top 40 cities for this metric across all 256 cities in the study. Dearborn also ranks in the top 50 for the percentage of its population younger than age 15.
The city cracks the top 50 in the study for its relatively low violent crime rate of around 273 incidents per 100,000 residents.
No other Michigan cities ranked in the top 25.
Details on the study, including full methodology and rankings, can be found here: https://smartasset.com/mortgage/best-places-to-trick-or-treat-2019.
Dearborn Public Schools are hiring and need your help to spread the word!!! 7 total job fairs will be held at different locations to recruit candidates for various types of non-instructional positions. Please start telling friends, family, neighbors, and share the information in the attached flyer with anyone who might be interested. We need your help!
Anytime a student wants to leave his/her classroom, he/she must inform his/her teacher and get an e-hall pass. Passing time is only to go from one class to another. Thanks!
