STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

WIDA Testing: Feb. 07, 08, 14, 16

On Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th, many 6th grade students will be taking the WIDA test. The WIDA test measures students’ language development. Approximately half of the students at Stout Middle School are required to take the WIDA test. Following the initial two days of testing, 6th graders will have one additional session over the next week or so.

7th & 8th grade students will begin WIDA testing on Tuesday, February 14th and Thursday, February 16th with an additional test session during the following week or so.

If your student will be taking the WIDA test, please try to avoid scheduled absences such as doctor’s appointments. If you need to make an appointment for your child, please try to make it in the afternoon as testing will occur in the morning.

If your student took the WIDA test last year, they may have to take the test again this year. Students continue to take the WIDA test each school year until they have demonstrated the highest level of proficiency. If your child was enrolled in Dearborn and did not take the WIDA test last school year, they most likely will not be taking the WIDA test this year.
