No One Eats Alone

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, Stout Middle School held its own No One Eats Alone event. Teachers had their lunches with their students and participated in some activities, games, and conversations stressing the importance of inclusiveness. As a test, I took my lunch and sat alone on one table to see if the kids were paying attention and getting the point. To my pleasant surprise, about 8 students moved to sit on my table telling me politely that I shouldn’t be eating alone. To these students – and all the others – I say, thank you. This event should be held more often, probably once a month!
