With the arrival of spring, comes the 2019 Stout Track season for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! The first day of tryouts will take place on MONDAY, APRIL 8th, the first day back from SPRING BREAK! If you plan to tryout, please read the following requirements:
- Students must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and maintain that (or above) throughout the season. If a 2.0 is not reached or is lost, the athlete will be dismissed from the team.
- School behavior (bus, hallway, class, cafeteria, etc.) must be appropriate. Students with poor behavior will not be permitted to join, or can be removed if behavior becomes negative at any point during the season..
- Students must have a sports physical completed BEFORE they can participate in the first practice on April 8th. If you’ve already played football, basketball, swimming, or volleyball for Stout, you already have a physical on file. If you haven’t played a sport yet, get a physical form from the office ASAP and let a doctor fill it out!
***ATTENTION THEATER STUDENTS: If you are interested in being part of the track team, please see Coach Hool (boys) or Coach Crechiolo (girls) to make us aware of your interest, as the play performances don’t end until after track season begins.
Want some advice? Running can be very challenging…so start getting ready now! Run, run, and run some more! If you wait until tryouts begin…you’ll be gasping for air on the bleachers instead of sprinting around the track!
