STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Anti-Bullying Awareness event at Henry Ford College

The Office of Student Activities at Henry Ford College would like to invite administrators, students, teachers, staff, and their families for an Anti-Bullying Awareness event

  • About 20% of students experience bullying.
  • Over 70% of young people say they have seen bullying in their school.

Motivational Speaker, Anthony Ianni, will speak to students and the local community about bullying and share his story with them.

The Relentless Tour with Anthony Ianni is a Michigan Department of Civil Rights Initiative to eradicate bullying in Michigan and beyond.

Anthony Ianni was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, which is on the Autism Spectrum, at age 4. Throughout his childhood, Anthony was bullied by his peers, but he worked hard and never gave up. Anthony earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University in Sociology and is the first known athlete with autism to play Big 10 basketball. He won two Big Ten Championships, a Big Ten Tournament Title, was the recipient of the 2011 Tim Bograkos Walk on Award and the 2012 Unsung Player Award, and was also a member of the 2010 Final Four team.

Come hear Anthony’s inspiring story and learn about how you can help prevent bullying.
