Stout students can sign up to receive training sessions on personal finance “each Wednesday” from 3:30-5:30 PM at Stout as one of the sessions in our afterschool STEM program.
The sessions that will be offered will help students learn about banking, how to calculate sales taxes on purchases (big and small), the impact of interest rates on purchases, and financial planning… even at this young age.
We are offering these training sessions at Stout since we have received requests by Stout students for this type of real world application related to finances. I am so impressed that our Falcons are advocating for such impactful initiatives!! Our Falcons continue to amaze us each day.
Any Stout student interested to receive these training sessions on personal finance, please pick up a STEM Program application form from the Stout Main Office (if you did not already fill one out). Students who sign up will receive a free dinner and may ride the activity bus home if needed.
Side note: We wanted to remind everyone that Friday, January 20 will be a half day for students. They will be dismissed at 11:30 AM.
