Students in the Stout NASA Club had a wonderful “hour-long” meeting with real-life scientists who work at NASA in a virtual meeting. The scientists were astonished by the technical questions that the Stout students were asking. Stout students asked questions on topics ranging from air pressure in the aircraft during space travel to projects that the scientists worked on. They even asked them about the salary that scientists make at NASA. Thank you Mr. Vietinghoff and Ms. Alfatlawi (ACCESS) for organizing and running the meeting! ACCESS has a strong collaboration with the Michigan Department of Education, which provided this great opportunity for Stout students to communicate with NASA.
The Falcons represented Stout Middle School very well! This will be a meeting our students will never forget!
