STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Snow Day Reflections

Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 was a Snow Day as you all know. Schools were closed which pleased students and staff as well. After doing my share of shoveling and cleaning, I drove  throughout the streets of Dearborn and, boy, was I surprised to see many of our students helping their parents clean their driveways and sidewalks! I was even more pleased to see two kids, carrying shovels and helping other people as well, making few bucks in the process. On one of the streets, two girls, were putting the final decorating touches on a delightful Snowman. So, all in all, it was a satisfying day: no school, no homework, plenty of fun, and probably lots of prayer by some for more snow!

Now, Back to reality: School is back! Teachers and students (may be ???) are eager to make up for lost time. So, let us work together and allow teachers to do their job – that is to teach – and students to do theirs – that is to learn!
