AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college-readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college. The program places special emphasis on growing writing, critical thinking, teamwork, organization and reading skills. Current 6th & 7th grade students at Stout can apply now to join the AVID elective class for the 2020-2021 school year. A video overview of the program, video of student testimonials, and link to the student application form are included with this post.
