Tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity boys basketball teams will be held from Monday, October 19th thru Thursday, October 22nd. Interested 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys need to email Mr. Simon (simonj@dearbornschools.org) by Friday October 16th, so that their tryout may be scheduled and they can be informed of the time of their tryout. Tryouts will be held over three days with sessions limited to 20 students in order to support social distancing whenever possible.

Additional Information
- – Transportation must be provided to and from tryouts by a parent/guardian.
- – We recommend parents wait for their child in the car as tryouts are only for 45 minutes, students who are late getting picked up may be dismissed from the team.
- – A mask is required at all times: during active play, on the bench, in the locker room and in the stands. Students need to be socially distanced in the locker room with “assignments” for their designated area. This applies to all athletes, coaches, and spectators. Students will be given breaks at the discretion of coaches to take a breather without masks but must be socially distanced when doing so.
- – Students will be screened prior to tryouts. An electronic waiver will be shared with those who request a tryout.
- – Students must have their own water bottle or they will not be permitted to try out.
- – Students must have an active physical on file as of August 2019.
