College Fair: Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017

Dearborn Public Schools is partnering with MACRAO* (Michigan Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers) to host a College Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 6-7:30 p.m.

Interested students from Dearborn and surrounding districts are welcome to attend this free event at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn 48126.

Representatives from more than 60 different universities, colleges, trade schools, law enforcement agencies, and U.S. Armed Forces will be available to talk directly with students.

“Not every student who graduates from high school will go on to a four year university but we know that in order to be employable in the 21st century job market every student will need some type of post high school education,” commented Ms. Gail Welmers, Counselor at Edsel Ford High School.

“This event provides students with a great opportunity to talk with several different schools in our area, state, and out of state that offer programs that may be of interest to them,” Welmers added.

Just a few of the many participating educational institutions include:

Adrian College Army ROTC – U of M Central Michigan University
Coast Guard Academy College for Creative Studies Detroit Institute of Music Education
Eastern Michigan Henry Ford College Ironworkers Local #25
Kettering University Lawrence Tech Madonna University
Michigan State Michigan Tech Oakland University
University of Toledo United States Air Force Academy Wayne State University

Plus many others.
