Geneticists from Beaumont Hospital Speak to Stout Students During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Geneticists presented on the topic of “Breast Cancer Awareness” to science classes at Stout Middle School to build awareness of the illness and possible ways to decrease the chance of getting breast cancer. The students in the science classes held great discussions about ways to prevent cancer and answered questions based on the presentation. Studying diseases, preventative ways to decrease the chances of getting the illnesses, and the medical tools and treatments available are apart of the STEM medical science studies that all students at Stout must take as an elective.
