STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Letter from the Principal

Dear Stout Community,

Recent reports regarding comments made to a student by a staff member at Stout are of course very troubling and of great concern to all of us.  This is obviously not part of the normal culture and climate that we know exist in our Stout community.

As a school community that values the personal safety, well-being, and success of all of it’s learners, we feel it is necessary to address these inquiries and the concerns expressed by different stakeholders in our community.  We, as a Stout family, are dedicated to ensuring our students are honored and respected. We want to assure students, parents, staff, and community members that district administration is conducting a thorough investigation of the incident. The teacher involved has been placed on administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation.  Administrative leave is part of our normal protocol and is not an indication of a specific finding since the investigation is still on-going.

As a school community, we will move forward with the goal of bringing a sense of understanding, restoring peace, and establishing a culture of empathy and respect between all of our students, staff, parents, and community members.

Regards,

Mr. Oke
