STOUT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Stout Schedule Pick-Up Date and Other Important Information for the 2022-23 School Year

I hope you are all having a safe and happy summer.

We look forward to working with your child during the 2022-2023 school year!

I am REALLY excited to announce that Stout students will be focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) integration in their curriculum in the upcoming school year! More information will be shared about this great initiative.

Schedule Pick-Up/Pictures

For your planning, I wanted to let you know that we will be hosting a Schedule Pick-up and Picture Day on Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 at Stout.  Students will be able to pick up their schedules for the new school year AND take their school pictures by LifeTouch. This picture will also be used for their student identification cards for the upcoming school year.

Students should report to school following the schedule below:

Student whose  last name begins with A – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Students whose last name begins with B-M – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Students whose last name begins with N-Z – 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

*Since we have a limited time window for each group, please be sure to arrive promptly at the beginning of your time slot.

Students who can not make it on August 16 will be scheduled to take their school pictures in September, which may delay when they will receive their new school I.D. cards.

Incoming 6th Grade Information:

I want to remind the parents of all incoming 6th graders to make sure your child has an updated health appraisal to start middle school. You may turn those into the main office anytime starting on August 16.

Parents of the incoming 6th grade students are invited to a parent orientation on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Stout auditorium.

*Students will also be able to order our new Stout T-Shirts (with the STEM theme) during schedule pick-up. T-shirts will cost around $13.00.

Finally, I want to encourage all students to keep reading during the summer break. Reading helps exercise the brain, improves memory and focus, and helps to strengthen communication skills.

I hope you have a great rest of your summer and I can not wait to see you all in August!!
