Required Summer Learning Assignments

The effects of summer learning loss can result in nearly a three-month loss in grade-level equivalency in math and a two-month loss in grade-level equivalency in reading.  In order to close the summer learning loss gap in reading and math, all middle school students in Dearborn are expected to complete Summer Learning before they return in the fall.  Teachers will grade the completed summer work when school opens in August.  Students are expected to complete 60 minutes on Khan Academy in math and to complete the summer reading assigned by their language arts teacher. Letters explaining the assignments are attached to this post.  Thank you so much for supporting your child’s development through summer learning.

Student email and account access

We are aware of an issue involving student email and accounts. This means that students may not be able to access their email, Clever, MobyMax, etc.

We are working on a resolution. We hope to have access restored quickly.

“Logic will take you from A to Z. Imagination will take you everywhere!”

7th Graders 2018 Wheels Assembly

Click on Wheels 7th-8th Grade 2018-01 to watch a short clip of the assembly.

7th and 8th Graders had their Wheels Assembly on Friday, 08, 2018. Mrs. Crechiolo and her partner in crime, counselor Haddad along with the ever-behind-the-scene Mrs. Schulkey ran the show delicately and were as cool as a cucumber. Students were recognized for their achievements and were awarded gifts. The biggest event was, of course, the two 26″ Mountain Bikes that were won by 7th grader Ali Ali and8th grader Chastity Cannizzaro. Congratulations to all of our winners for a job well done.
